Who We Help
Your Support Changes Lives
Your support helps students from ages 16 to 80. Yes we have had students in their 80! No matter their age, our students want to build brighter futures for themselves, their families, and their communities.
The Plymouth Public Library Literacy Program provides free classes in a safe, supportive environment. Students strengthen their reading, writing, and math skills while working toward earning their high school equivalency diploma which opens the door to college, careers, and new opportunities.
Our program also offers conversation groups and tutoring for English as a Second Language students who come to our program to learn or improve their English, helping them gain confidence at work and in everyday life. Many go on to work in healthcare or manage or open businesses that contribute to our local community.

Our Tournament is held at a private golf club. Tournament day includes breakfast and lunch and multiple opportunities to win prizes for skill on the course.

Sometimes the simplest things become obstacles to our students achieving their goals.
That’s why we established the Support A Student Fund. This fund is open ended but in the past has helped by providing bus passes to those without cars, Uber fare when a car broke down, the cost of a babysitter when childcare fell through unexpectedly and nutritional snacks to many a student who hadn’t the time or money for a meal. Sometimes our snacks were the only meal.
Our goal is to grow this fund, so we can always cover that emergency, remove the obstacle and insure our students’ success.
